What's Behind 2011's Deadly Tornado Season? →
This is an article by NPR where they interviewed the NSSL’s Dr. Harold Brooks (I collected data from him for my senior thesis in high school! I was so happy to be in his presence!). It’s pretty good but just as I expected.

Today in Costa Rica...
We had this beast of a thunderstorm (for Costa Rica)! There was a lot of rain and it was coming down in industrial-sized buckets (normal for the country)! There was so much cloud-to-ground lightning as well!! One actually struck really close by! Then, get this, it started to hail!! It was coming down in regular-sized buckets!! They were about dime-sized but there was so much! My professor said...

drfe2 asked: Your tornado tossing a semi footage was amazing!! Did you find that, or obtain it yourself? In other words, are you a chaser?

Really?!
There would be a high risk for severe weather as soon as I leave the country! I would die to go out and chase this outbreak! I mean seriously, this is setting up to be a classic Plains outbreak! This event is going to be amazing! Also, my prayers go out to those in Joplin, MO. I just found out about the tornado yesterday. It actually made news here in Costa Rica.

Okay, so I think I’ve decided on writing a paper analyzing the microclimates of Costa Rica. If not that, then the climates that are found in Costa Rica and why they are there. That would be so amazing!

prescottb: I Just watched a few of my good friends at KU graduate today! In the near future, i.e. Monday, I will be heading to Tuscaloosa, Alabama with other KU Atmo… What are you doing research on? I’ve had a couple of ideas for my senior thesis for...

Well, I survived the rapture. One of two things happened: It didn’t come or I’m boned. You’re boned as well if you’re reading this. However, I’m banking on the former of the two outcomes.
